razor
The man stood on the edge of the cliff watching the crashing waves. A smile curved the edge of his lips. Laughter burst forth, and his body shook with it, sending a cascade of pebbles tumbling down the cliff face. He stood on the razor’s edge between earth and sea, life and death. The man looked at the gold wedding band on his hand, slipped it off his finger and held it up to the sun, and let it fall from his grasp into the sea. The laughter died, but the smile remained as he turned and walked away.
